Saint Helen Catholic School’s mission is to provide a safe, Christ centered learning environment which embraces and promotes quality education, Gospel values, and Catholic teachings and tradition.

The school establishes a strong foundation for lifelong learning within a culturally diverse community while handing on the faith.

Dear Families, Parishioners, and Friends,

As we continue our journey this school year, I am thrilled to share some remarkable updates that will enhance our students' educational experience and strengthen our commitment to academic excellence and faith formation.

This year, we have updated some textbooks especially in Math, Science, and Religion for students from Kindergarten to 8th grade, ensuring that our curriculum remains relevant and engaging. Each classroom is now equipped with state-of-the-art 86-inch interactive Cleartouch TV panels, fostering dynamic learning environments that encourage collaboration and creativity. Additionally, we have acquired cutting-edge STEM equipment from RobotLab and Lego, providing hands-on opportunities for our students to explore, invent, and problem-solve as we begin to develop the school’s STEM program.

In our commitment to a healthy learning environment, all classrooms and learning areas are fitted with commercial-grade air purifiers, ensuring that our students and staff can focus on what matters most—learning and growing together. Our faculty has also benefited from up-to-date training and professional development, allowing them to provide the highest quality education.

I am pleased to announce that our school enrollment has increased by 10%, growing from 247 to 271 students. This growth is a testament to the strong foundation we have built together and the thriving community we are creating. Our continued collaboration with the local Catholic high school ensures a smooth transition for our students as they progress in their academic journeys.

As we move forward, we aim to grow even stronger in our mission to hand on the faith and continuously improve our academic offerings. We recognize the invaluable role parents play as stakeholders in our community, and we look forward to fostering even stronger collaboration with them in the months ahead.

We are truly grateful for the incredible support that our parishioners have shown to our school. Your commitment to the success of our school reflects the strength of our shared faith and community.

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our school. Together, we will inspire our students to reach their full potential, both academically and spiritually.

Sincerely,

Reading 1: Joel 2:12-18

Even now, says the LORD,
return to me with your whole heart,
with fasting, and weeping, and mourning;
Rend your hearts, not your garments,
and return to the LORD, your God.
For gracious and merciful is he,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and relenting in punishment.
Perhaps he will again relent
and leave behind him a blessing,
Offerings and libations
for the LORD, your God.

Blow the trumpet in Zion!
proclaim a fast,
call an assembly;
Gather the people,
notify the congregation;
Assemble the elders,
gather the children
and the infants at the breast;
Let the bridegroom quit his room
and the bride her chamber.
Between the porch and the altar
let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep,
And say, "Spare, O LORD, your people,
and make not your heritage a reproach,
with the nations ruling over them!
Why should they say among the peoples,
'Where is their God?'"

Then the LORD was stirred to concern for his land
and took pity on his people.
