Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

St. Helen School strives to educate the whole person in an atmosphere of academic excellence, respect for the individual child, Christian values, and in combination with the family, parish, and community. Catholic education promotes the Christian message of peace, hope, love and justice. St. Helen School demonstrates this through prayer, the celebration of the Eucharist, and the celebration of the sacraments. Being a Catholic community, the school encourages service to others while fostering respect and active involvement in caring for God’s creation.

Reading: Hos 14:2-10

Thus says the LORD:
Return, O Israel, to the LORD, your God;
you have collapsed through your guilt.
Take with you words,
and return to the LORD;
Say to him, "Forgive all iniquity,
and receive what is good, that we may render
as offerings to the bullocks from our stalls.
Assyria will not save us,
nor shall we have horses to mount;
We shall say no more, 'Our god,'
to the work of our hands;
for in you, the orphan finds compassion."
